Kate's asked me to write a little bit about my experience with KMF over the last 3 years. I've attended the ante- and post-natal exercise classes for both my babies and always enjoyed the sessions and made some great friends!

After my second baby I was struggling with recovery and Kate identified that I had returned to running too quickly before my core and pelvic floor were strong enough. Kate is really open and easy to talk to so I felt totally comfortable when we first sat down for a chat after a postnatal class and made a plan for a more gentle recovery.

This kicked off with the Focus on Change programme where we identified specific issues and did some tailored exercises to strengthen the muscles weakened by pregnancy. I followed up with a course of personal training. The sessions were different each week and as my strength increased we introduced some short runs which gradually built up in duration.

Over the course of a year I've progressed from only being able to run comfortably for a few minutes to running a half marathon which was unimaginable this time last year. Without Kate's expertise and guidance I don't think I would currently be running at all!
