Simple Tips For You To Re-Energise

Follow these simple tips to re-energise:

  • Prioritise tasks when you have limited energy.

  • Plan your activity to maximise the time of day when you have the most energy, such as an early morning class when you are fresh or last thing before bed to use up what you've got left. Increase the activity each day.

  • Get rid of distractions and unnecessary tasks such as scrolling through social media and use the time effectively.

  • Permission - it is ok to not be able to do what you could a few weeks ago, it will come back. Try not to feel low or frustrated.

  • Pace yourself - take it steady - don't rush at daily exercise, you will become more tired.

  • As always consider your sleep habits (see my previous sleep blog).

  • Every time you feel lethargic have a glass of water and aim for 2 litres a day.

  • Nourish your body with good food - eat the rainbow.

  • Move - this will help your circulation. Our 30-minute classes are a perfect way to move your body in a short space of time. If you are really struggling with tiredness try one of the floor- based classes such as pure stretch or Pilates.

  • Make sure you have a strict finish time for work. We all know that working from home can see you working into the evening when normally you would have turned your PC off in the office at 5.

  • Empty your head of things before bed by writing it all out on a mind map. Thinking uses lots of energy too.

  • Most importantly get dressed in your favourite clothes that make you feel good, get some sunshine in your lunch break and have fun!
