A two-hour workshop for New postnatal mums to optimise your postnatal recovery and to regain strength and confidence before beginning your progressive fitness journey.
What to expect?
You will be given advice on key elements of postnatal recovery, including:
Mind the gap private practical assessment with Sarah - find out how to do it and why it is relevant
The type of exercise to do after your baby is born and how to progress in order to protect your pelvic floor for the future
Nutritional advice post baby to facilitate and promote healing
The low down on when to return to running or high impact exercise
Caesarean section care (short and long term)
Pelvic floor trauma and recovery

About the course
Your Postnatal body deserves respect! Attend from *6 weeks following birth, and your baby comes too! The aim from the start is to support your safe return to fitness and built a strong foundation on which to progress. Learn how to:
Re-establish alignment
Restore balance through movement
Reconnect breathing, pelvic floor, back and abdominals to regain strength
Rediscover the value of nutriton to aid postnatal recovery
KMF Foundation Course started in 2007. Having trained over 1000 women during this time the course has developed and includes many different strategies to enable you to understand the importance of 'getting it right' - progressing slowly and focusing on long term health and wellbeing.
What to expect
A typical session includes:
Postural alignment corrections
Core activation
Progressive Strength and balance exercises
Progressive movement
Pelvic floor Visualisations
Stretch
The session will be 45 minutes long with the option to network with members of the group over refreshments at the end of the session... remember that support is essential.

A FREE six week running course to help you improve your speed, strength and stamina. All abilities welcome.
What to expect
The aim over the 6 weeks is to cover:
How to tackle Sheffield Half Marathon-what should my training look like? Gym based-leg strengthening to help with tackling the hill (up and down), work on cadence (treadmill) recovery - stretching/foam rolling.
Uphill running technique, drills, leg strengthening exercises and hill session
Downhill running technique, drill and hill session
Pacing? /tempo running
Race prep-how to taper-fuelling before/during the race
Recce of ‘The Hill’ including hill work and mental strategies to help with the race.
Sessions can be tailored to the team members
Receive FREE access to the Gym throughout the 6 weeks. Plus receive discount on any massage treatment – Sports massage assessment recommended and pre and post event massage highly recommended.
