Have you always wanted to run? or getting back to running after a baby injury or time out?

People start run for many reasons: Fitness, weight loss or to achieve goals, but often gains made at the beginning will plateau and often runs can seem harder.

What can be done? Add variety, mix it up, work with a personal trainer or train with a group:

Carla our running PT at Kate Campbell fitness offers some great tips to keep you motivated and keep the fitness gains progressive.

Train with a purpose have a goal - fuel your body correctly and see your running improve week after week.

Starting 9.30am Friday 20th September at Kate Campbell Fitness Carla will be coaching and supporting a group of beginners to achieve their first 5K in 6 weeks - get in touch - minimum numbers apply.

Our course is ONLY £25 to non members and £20 for members

What to expect?

You will be given advice on key elements of Running Strength Strategies and recovery.

The aim of the course is to build up running from walk to run walk to running 30 minutes non- stop / 5k over 6 weeks in a small group enabling 1-1 support and expert guidance.

  • During the session you’ll receive coaching and advice on technique and how to avoid injury

  • Nutritional recipes

  • Weekly email tips and ‘homework’ to keep you on track

  • Unlimited access to the gym – where specially designed programmes are already done for you.

About the course

Your Postnatal body deserves respect! Attend from *6 weeks following birth, and your baby comes too! The aim from the start is to support your safe return to fitness and built a strong foundation on which to progress. Learn how to:

  • Re-establish alignment

  • Restore balance through movement

  • Reconnect breathing, pelvic floor, back and abdominals to regain strength

  • Rediscover the value of nutriton to aid postnatal recovery

KMF Foundation Course started in 2007. Having trained over 1000 women during this time the course has developed and includes many different strategies to enable you to understand the importance of 'getting it right' - progressing slowly and focusing on long term health and wellbeing.

What to expect

A typical session includes:

  • Postural alignment corrections

  • Core activation

  • Progressive Strength and balance exercises

  • Progressive movement

  • Pelvic floor Visualisations

  • Stretch

The session will be 45 minutes - hour long with the option to network with members of the group over refreshments at the end of the session... remember that support is essential.

*If you have had a Caesarean Section you may wish to attend later. Do get in touch.

NEW - Baby Massage Course

Many of you will know Kim as our Baby whisperer who looked after our keep mums fit babies for many years. Kim is now looking forward to running 6 week massage courses supporting the special bond between parent/carer and baby.

It is well known that massage helps strengthen that bond and has many other positive effects, not only on the body but also the mind and helps to achieve a sense of overall well-being. Other benefits include:

  • Relaxes both parent and child

  • Aids digestion

  • Aids flexibility

  • Boosts the immune system

  • Improves sleep

  • Helps to strengthen muscles

During the 6 week course, we will learn good techniques for optimum benefits of massage. The first session will focus on introduction and what to expect. You will be given course notes to enable you to recreate the techniques at home.

Course starts on Wednesday TBC 2pm-3pm. Payment is for the full course, £60 for non-members and £51 for members. Kate Campbell Fitness Members receive 15% off RRP
